She studied at the Elementary School of Fine Arts, at the San Alejandro Academy, and at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana, Cuba.

Artist of vital importance in the History of Art of our country. Founder of the radical Grupo Puré, together with Lázaro Saavedra, Ermy Taño, Ana Albertina and Adriano Buergo in the second half of the 80s; and creator of a neo-pop aesthetic style that combined the appropriation of the heroic comic and the neo-historicist revisionism of Painting.

He currently lives and works in the USA.
