Cuban painter, self-taught. He was a professor at the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad de las Villas and the University of Havana.
He held his first personal exhibition in 1934, at the well-known Lyceum of Havana. In 1938 he made a mural painting at the Santa Clara Normal School. In 1940 he was included in the exhibition 300 years of Painting in Cuba; He exhibited personally in 1956 and 1961. He participated in the collective mural painted in the Cuba Pavilion on the occasion of the May Hall in Havana, 1967; among other important actions.
In 1987 the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana presented an anthological set of his works.
