Ángel Alfaro

Cuban painter and engraver.

Graduated in 1975 in Painting from the National School of Art, Havana. In 1981 at the Higher Institute of Art, specializing in Engraving. He was in Paris studying Contemporary Engraving techniques from 1984 to 1985 and in 2007 he completed a master's degree at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana.

Among his most important awards is that of 1986 where he obtained an Honorable Mention at the Norwegian Biennial and in 1987 the Young Print Award for Latin American Engraving, Casa de las Américas, Havana, Cuba.

The Museum of Fine Arts of Havana treasures some of his works.

He currently lives in Bogotá, Colombia.
