From 1968 to 1973 he studied at the Provincial School of Art of Camagüey. From that year until 1976 he did it at the National School of Art (ENA) in Havana, and from 1977 to 1982 at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA), in Havana, Cuba.

He worked as a sculpture teacher at the Isla de la Juventud Elementary School of Plastic Arts, from 1982 to 1983, at the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts, in 1983, and at the Higher Institute of Art, from 1985 to 1989.

The author of multiple environmental sculptures inside and outside the country.

He made a group of personal exhibitions in Cuba and in other countries such as Germany and Austria, and participated in several group shows in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Switzerland, among other nations in which, in addition to Finland, the United States, Spain, Japan , or France, his works are treasured in private collections.

In 1985 he obtained a Mention at the Salón de la Ciudad’85, Provincial Center of Plastic Arts and Design, Havana, Cuba; and in 1988 International Sculpture Symposium Award, Baracoa, Santiago de Cuba.

The National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana, Cuba, treasures the artist's work.
