Painter, graphic designer and illustrator.

He studied painting and engraving between 1959 and 1963, at the San Alejandro School of Fine Arts. He became a member of the Taller Experimental de Gráfica from 1965 to 1996 in Plaza de la Catedral, in Havana. In 1982 he served as a jury at the UNEAC 82 Plastic Arts Hall, at the National Museum of Fine Arts, in the Cuban capital.

He has a vast work in the field of lithography, engraving in general and painting. Likewise, he is considered one of the most important exponents of Cuban graphic art.

Among his most important awards are: in 1982, the Plakat Prize of Honor Second International Political Poster Contest, Moscow, USSR; In 1990, he obtained the Majadahonda 1936, Prize granted by the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and in 2020, the National Prize of Plastic Arts granted by the National Council of Plastic Arts in Cuba.

The National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana, Cuba, treasures part of his work.
