He completed his first studies at the Olga Alonso Provincial School of Art, Santa Clara, Cuba, from 1973 to 1975. In 1975 he began the CUBANACÁN National School of Art, in Havana, ending in 1979. From 1984 to 1985 he spent a theoretical course / Serigraphy practical at the Fund of Cultural Assets of Havana. In 1989 he completed an intensive course in Barcelona, Spain, at the Jaume Guasch Foundation and from 2002 to 2003, he completed a Diploma in Visual Arts at the La Ibérica Cultural Center, Yucatan Institute of Culture in Mérida, Mexico.
He has obtained several scholarships for his artistic training and in the field of education he has carried out a long and fruitful work that began in Cuba, working in different Cultural Centers and Universities, where he taught various courses in Screen Printing, a technique in which he has experience of more than 20 years.
He has taught classes as a Visual Arts teacher and workshops for children and youth. Among his most important awards, it is worth mentioning the Collective Prize for Cuban shipping at the First Biennial of Painting Jaume Guasch, Barcelona, Spain in 1987, and the National Prize for Small Format, at Galería Habana in 1989.
The National Museum of Fine Arts and the Cultural Property Fund, in Havana, Cuba, treasure works by the artist.
He currently lives and works in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.
