Graduated from the José Antonio Díaz Peláez Elementary School of Plastic Arts, Havana, in 1978. At the San Alejandro Academy of Plastic Arts, Havana, in 1982 and from the Higher Institute of Art of Havana in 1987.
He developed his professional activity in 1987 as a professor at the National School of Plastic Arts in Havana.
He is one of the most notable artists to emerge in Cuba during the 1980s. Author of a provocative work and controversial artist.
Among its most important prizes is the First Prize for Painting, in the March 13 Competition, L Gallery, Havana, Cuba.
The National Museum of Fine Arts, treasures the artist's work.
