Contemporary Cuban painter.
Graduated in 1975 from the Santa Clara Provincial School of Plastic Arts. He studied at the National School of Plastic Arts of Havana where he graduated in the specialties of Painting, Engraving and Drawing.
He was Founder of the René Portocarrero Serigraphy Experimental Artistic Workshop. For more than two decades, he has given master classes, workshops, theoretical and practical courses and has participated in international meetings and in the creation of new workshops in the country.
He is currently a professor in the Engraving Chair of the Higher Institute of Art in the specialty of screen printing.
Among its most important awards, it is worth mentioning the Hall of Engraving Award, National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana and the Collective Award, Fundación Jaume Guash, Spain.
