He studied at the Higher Institute of Design in Havana City, as well as courses in Engraving at the Experimental Graphic Workshop and at the René Portocarrero Serigraphy Workshop.
He began in design and then went through different stages from the 80s, in which academic painting, drawing, and later, sculpture prevailed, maintaining in the last decades a strong attachment to expressionism.
Since 2000, he has been co-curator, together with Sandra Ceballos, of the art exhibitions that take place in the Espacio Aglutinador.
He currently lives and works in Havana, Cuba.
