Rolando López Dirube

He was a Cuban Sculptor, Painter, Draftsman and Engraver.

He made his first studies in the years 1947-1948 at the College of Architects of Havana. In 1950 he studied drawing with George Grosz at the Art Students League Center in New York. Between the years 1950 to 1951 he studied at the Art Workshop of Brooklyn Museum Art School in NY. In 1952 he received lessons from the National School of Graphic Arts in Madrid.

During his professional activity he was a professor at several Universities and received several awards in recognition of his contributions in the area of Fine Arts.

His works are under the Dirube signature. Most of his artistic work was developed in Puerto Rico.
