Juan Ricardo Amaya

Cuban sculptor and draftsman.

From 1966 to 1971, he began his studies, graduating in Sculpture from the National School of Art and from 1989 to 1990 he continued at the School of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy.

He has been a professor of Sculpture at the Provincial School of Art of Pinar del Río and at the Provincial School of Art of Camaguey, from 1971 to 1973.

Among his most important awards are the Award at the Second Quadrennial of Erfurt, Germany, in 1978, and the Award at the UNEAC 90 Plastic Arts Hall, at the National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana, Cuba.

Many of his works can be found located in different cities of the Island.

Lives and works in Havana, Cuba.
