Self-taught. Outstanding Cuban sculptor and painter. Founder of Grupo Punto and the Art-Sur de Cienfuegos Coordinate Project.

He has been a professor of Plastic Arts at the Benny Moré School of Art and at the Conrado Benítez García Higher Pedagogical Institute, in Cienfuegos, and is currently a professor at the Carlos Rafael Rodríguez University of Cienfuegos.

In 1991 he was awarded the 1st Prize in the September 5 Hall, in the Provincial Art Center of Cienfuegos, Cuba, and with the 2nd Prize in the First Biennial of Small Format Sculpture in the Cerro Gallery, Havana, Cuba , in 1996.

He currently lives and works in Cienfuegos, Cuba.
