He devoted himself to advertising studies at the José Martí Masonic University, in addition to learning Library Science and studying Philosophy and Letters at the University of Havana. His signature was prestigious in numerous publications such as Islands, Monday of Revolution and others. It belonged to the poetic field that brought together prominent intellectuals in the magazine Origenes.
Cleva enjoyed the friendship of other poets such as José Lezama Lima and Samuel Feijoo. She was also a painter and belonged to the Signos group, which Feijoo himself directed; precisely, with her she participated in an exhibition in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1983. There is news that her last pictorial exhibition took place in Espacio Aglutinador, in 1995.
On the occasion of receiving Dulce María Loynaz, the Cervantes Prize appointed Cleva Solís as curator of her exhibitions in Madrid, which reaffirms the great appreciation she had for her.
